This past summer, Frankland Racing Supply president Ed Ferree, who is 62 years old took the checkered flag at a race at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. It was the first victory in 12 years for Ed, who is a veteran of both dirt and asphalt tracks, and who competed in the NASCAR Grand National series in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

On June 29 at the half-mile oval-shaped Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Ed passed Davey Murdick on the 17th circuit on route to the win. Another special part of the day was that Ed’s son Alex finished as the runner-up.

The story of Ed’s win was featured in Late Model Illustrated magazine.
